Context Gallery, jewels and contemporary objects

Blanca Sánchez

To cover but feeling the mass of what lies below, allowing to sense. Veiling the real content of the object through the stain. Pieces of jewelry that profile themselves as a flat drawing, cutout, like a shadow of color on some part of the body. It' is a form that does not reveal the details which it contains. I appropriate the conventional form of a piece of jewelry and work at altering its profile. An earring of pearls has changed into a drawing of flat circles and metal. I work with the unnecessary but desired object, because it is unnecessary, beautiful and lacking in modesty.
